Gail Gulland

Gail Gulland

Gail has a first class honours degree in Three Dimensional Design from Bath Spa University. In her final year, Gail specialised in ceramics and exhibited her work at New Designers in London – the annual showcase for the UK’s top graduate designers.

Gail is building a new studio in Lymington. She works mainly with bone china and porcelain, using a process called slipcasting. Gail loves the translucent quality of the clay, and combines the clay with paper in the final firing process. This technique produces delicate textures and differing degrees of transparency within the final pieces.
